Cephalotus cuttings

My only plant has been doing well and I wonder if it will be alright to take cuttings. The pitchers are very small though, at most 1/2 inch...but the plant has got 5-6 growing points.

I'm living in Singapore and the weather is warm all year round.

Any advice?

Cindy:

I am just curious to know how do you grow your cephalotus and under what temperatures?.

Thanks

Gus

umm...let me see. It's under florescent lights (3x18W) in a terrarium on its side. Temperature is about 80-90F. Medium is peat/sand 1:1. Only pitchers, no non-carnivorous leaves.

Hi Cindy,
Should be easy enough in those conditions. Gently pull a couple of leaves off (traps or flat leaves both work fine). Try to get the whole stalk off as close to the base as possible. Bury the base of the stalk just under the surface of the compost and keep humid and well lit... then wait... for months if necessary!
Cheers, Steve
