S. purpurea

I've been keeping my S. purpurea in a terrarium since I released it from its plastic cube jail cell.  It has been about 3 months and it’s growing very well and coloring up nicely.  Do you think it is important that I set it outside this winter for it to go dormant or do you think I should let it skip this year?  Also if I do set it out do you think it will go into shock from the humidity difference?  I live in Northern Florida so it is still in the high 60's at night.  Thanks,
                                  Nick Z.

I'd put it out on the north side of a building to spare it from direct sun for a week or two.  Then I'd gradually migrate it to full sun.  The change in light is a far greater threat than the change in humidity.  But providing some shelter from wind will help it adjust to the decreased humidity.
