Stratiffication

Wesley

God must have an interesting sense of humor
I'm getting ready to stratify my sarr seed. What would the best medium be? Also, is vermaculite safe for my sarr seeds?

Never used vermaculite for sarrs.
I use a mix of peat moss, LFS, and sand.

Ok, thx for the help. *To himself lfs, peat, and sand... lfs, peat and sand... sand?!* Would perlite work too? I am outa sand.

2:1 peat perlite is what I, and a lot of other people, use.

Ok well, here is what I did I used a mixture of about 2:1 peat:LFS. Anyway, after I got the seeds on the soil I was taking it outside to spray it with fungicide, and when I reached out to open the door my hand caught the tray and dumped about 1/3 of the seed out! I was soooo ticked. Well I recovered about 1/8 of the lost seed and *sniffles "they never had a chance"* i vaccumed the rest of them up. Well, I just hope the rest of them make it.

can't go wrong with lfs. my fav for starting seed
