Rfi: bog location

I have heard that there is a really nice stand of S. flava near Lumberton, NC. I have family in that area and will be visiting them in the next month or so and was curious if anyone could confirm this rumor and perhaps provide directions. I'd like the opportunity to get out to the site and photograph some plants in situ.

I do not know where that is but if it is in flava range there probibly is a stand. I doubt anyone (at least here) will give you directions you will have to look for yourself. Is that town near any big cities (Wilmington perhaps)?

I am from a town 15 miles away from Lumberton and I can confirm the rumor.
Lumberton is well inside S.flava's range.

Oh yeah, Lumberton is about 100 miles from Wilmington. It's closer to Fayetteville, about 20 miles.
