RL -

That flava is gorgeous! I have a flava clone which also, while beautiful, falls over every year because the hoods fail to keep out the rain.

If that plant of yours ever needs dividing, you and I need to work out a trade!

    - what do you do when your bog is full? you build another. and another. and another. then you buy some pots. and some more. and some more. and some more. then you wonder how much it would cost to rework the hydrology in your yard to place your house on an island. -

    Sorry 56k-ers!

    S.x rehderi and D. capensis

Seedlings: two very red S.x mitchelliana, and S.x harperi x flava 'Burgundy'. You can see the range of gentics in this last hybrid - some are very red, some heavily veined and a couple almost all green.

Three year old S.x moorei x leucophyllas. The pitchers look a bit like 'Leah Wilkinson' on one of them.

S.x alata red lid x flava

    S.x leucophylla x popei

    Alvin,
Interesting hybrid "S.x alata x flava 'Burgundy'". Most hybrids are noticeable as hybrids but this one has retained all (seemingly) of the S. flava characteristics without betraying it's S. alata parents.

    Nice photos btw...

Yes, that hybrid does look very much like flava, but has pale yellow flowers. Genetics are strange!

Alexis, When I grow up I want my plants to look just like yours!
