I acquired some Cephalotus seeds a little while ago and have not had any time to plant them so they have been cold stratifying in the fridge for about 2 months now. I am curious as to what is the best medium to plant these seeds onto? If I plant them onto sphagnum moss only, I risk the moss over growing the seed and wasting the seed. I was thinking that I could sow it on top of a mix of 1 part sand, 1 part perlite, 1 part vermiculite, 1 part peat and 1 part chopped sphagnum. Would this have enough drainage for it? Does anyone have any soil mixes that have worked especially well for them. I would love to hear from you.
