I've been busy...

Hi,

I've been working in my GH building some new shelves, I'd like to share the results:

First of all, if you remember I said I'm going to glue my GH and I've had some concerns, the past few days we've experienced winds of up to 80-100km/h and it still stands (hope I'm not pushing my luck...).

Some neps, I use to have them all hanged but now I hang only the ones I can't place on the shelf (too big)

Enjoy!

Nice looking setup Yoss. What is the plastic material called that you covered with? Looks like it's coated with aluminum in the first pic.

I'm not sure what material it is but with the weather here it is best not to use a dark shade cloth as it abrorbs most of the heat, this one reflects about 60%of the light.

Very impressive! Now watch, the Americans are going to think you have WMD's and will bomb it!

Man, all ya need is a computer, toilet, fidge, and ESPN!

Nice plants Yossi!!! in the photo that has the title "D. regia and H. nutans 'giant' in the middle (when will it give mature pitchers?)" what is the pinguicula in the middle that is like all droopy with no flowers?

As I was told this is P. moranensis 'huahuapan' with its winter leaves.

Great looking setup - I wish I had a back yard so badly! I live in an apartment it sucks confining my botanical mania to just large DIY terrariums.

Your "N. Gentle" is actually an N. Miranda (maxima x northiana x maxima) from what I can see in the pic. I love that plant but for me it quickly grows enormous. Mine had made pitchers up to 14"/35 cm on a plant over 1.5 meters diameter under metal halide lighting after only a year or so. I sold mine since as you mention they are easy to get but they sure are a nice grower.  I have to resist getting a new one everytime I visit the garden center. For an impressive size and easy growing Nep you really can't get better than Miranda!

just FYI: N. Gentle is (maxima x fusca) and will appreciate cooler temperatures than Miranda who likes hot, humid and bright.
