spring pond photos

Have had a little spare time on my hands so took some time to enjoy these flowers opening in the pond.

I think this is blue flag iris but am not sure...it could also be some hybrid.

Very cool! I'm diggin' that first shot, the one with the damselfly in it. The morphology of the flower reminds me a lot of a ping, actually. Very cool shots, it's not easy taking pictures of things on/in water.

Cool pond you've got. Have you tried any aquatic utrics in there? They'd probably love it.
 
Is that a man-made pond? Do you have any shots of the whole thing?

No utrics in this pond. They might like it in here...perhaps that'd be an interesting project...What kind of Utrics are native to CA?

CopCar: Yep man made...I'll get some full pond shots up sometime when I've got time.
