I've noticed that when I insert a pencil into the B. liniflora flowers and went from flower to flower, the actual flower petals start withering the next day and the ensuing pods are fatter than if I left them to their own devices. I'm not sure if it's the cross-pollination of the plants or just the action of spreading the pollen on the given flower.
