Hi Jmenprkr,

I am no expert, but the guys who host this site sell several nice smaller terrariums if that is what you are looking for or you could simply go to your local tropical fish store and buy an aquarium and lighting equipment. The number of lights you will need will depend on the plants you grow, the size of the tank you are lighting and where you set the terrarium in your home. I hope this helps. Check out the terrarium forum on this site as there is alot of good information there. It helped me alot.

Moving to Terrariums

In the simplest of forms any old fish tank will do. Put the plants in, find a way to cut down on moisture loss add a few lights and 'PRESTO' you have a terrarium.

It is obviously a little more complicated than that

I suggest you try to find a copy of 'The Savage Garden' by Peter D'Amato. This is a good beginners CP book and goes over a lot on terrariums. YOu might also want to consider picking up a book or two on reptile style terrariums, especially ones dealing with live plants and stuff. And also, make sure you read through the other posts here. TONS of good info in them
