Scott's perlite

I have herd that scott's peat is bad to use for carnivorous plants but what about scott's perlite and charcoal? I have been using it for about 4 months and it has had no effects but wanted other peoples results.

CF, This is definitely predjudice speaking, but I would never use perlite no matter who made it. Use whatever you like, but you can never tell about perlite from any source.
