    HELP!

OK, so we had a sea hare. we have not seen him lately. as of yesterday, we found a dead chromis floating. today, our brain coral's dieing off, and the clam's doing a bit unhealthy. we have not seen the hare for about a week, and we think it's dead; however, the nitrate is normal. is there a way to find the body, we cannot find the carcass. and is there a way we can save the coral and fish even though we dont know whats wrong

    Water changes. Fast.
I'd do 30% of your tanks capacity... Maybe more (45%) if you feel it has really fouled up your water.

Test for ammonia, not nitrate, and keep searching. There isn't too much you can do in this type of situation.

    Best of luck!

Yeah, I think the Ammonia level is toxic. this often happens in a closed system like a tank. One critter dies and the bacteria can't handle the load and then there's a chain reaction. Do what Yellowdart suggests.

actually, now it seems to be good.
And we can't really search, because we would have to re-arrange the rock, we could search on the weekend(now) but not weekday/night.
dad also tested all the test kit comes with(nitrata, ammonia, etc.) and it said everything is ok. and he did a water change yesterday morning.
