Cool I didn't do mantids this year in the garden outside so it's great to see some wee ones. Did you hatch them or are they wild?

They were hatched. Lois had given me a couple ooths when I saw her place in June. A week or two later not a mantis was to be found. Spiders got a few, some wandered into my Venus Flytraps, a few must have dropped down into the pitchers. What happened to the rest? The answer must be blowing in the wind...

Can I have them! J/K but cool, you should keep a few inside as pets.

I hatched an three ooths outside this year in the spring. After a couple of days, none to be found. All summer, I saw only ONE nymph.

In the last two days, I've seen THREE adults...one female and two males.

The boys are hanging around my pet Giant Aisan manits - femal, ready to pop with eggs. Trouble is, she's the wrong species for them! Go figure.....
