Question

Today, I decided to take some pics of my cape dews. My largest one is making another flower. It made its first one about a month after I got it, then I cut it off. Now, a month later, there is another flower, so I'm just gonna leave it.

Here's my plant's little developing flower:

And here's one of its largest leaves (in cm):

Remember that little baby dew that I posted about a while back? (Here is the post) Well, here it is now:

Here's a bug I put on its leaf a few days ago:

    GOTCHA!

If for some reason those pics don't show up, here are the links:

The seedling does not seem to have 'fins' as D. capensis 'Broad Leaf' does so far. I wonder which types of D. capensis Dr Ziemer grows near his 'Alba'.

    Thanks for the comment, *Barracuda_45*.

Khelljuhg, I personally think that this guy is the 'red' form, since it has those long leaves, and its tentacles are very red, and its unfolding leaves are all red, and the new leavse have a tint of red mixed into the green.

Thanks jimscott. Say, when will my little cape 'dew start flowering? I'm not sure how old it is, but I suppose all you experts can tell about how old it is.

Once it gets around 3-4 inches in diameter it should begin flowering. I think that seedling is the red form.

Yes, it is possible, but Dr Ziemer has sent it to you as 'Alba'? Actually, I feel that your seedling may be growing fast, as many vigorous hybrids do, although I may be a bit hasty. As I have mentioned some time, I have crossed 2 varieties of D. capensis and the hybrid grows very fast. It was a seedling last spring but now it is even raising up a scape. In any case, it seems to be better to wait until the plant grows bigger.
