New Drosera species preview

Wow. When I asked about a Drosera that grew like a Chinese Lantern flower in another thread, I wasn't aware someone upstairs was listening!

Really? The impression I got was it was more like a cross between Capensis and Madagascariensis.

I just got one of those. It definitely looks similar.

Someone needs to get a few samples of this, breed a deep red cultivar, and call it "Sparkler". :)
 
Andreas Fleischmann trickled out a bit more information on this Drosera.

It has been named but the name won't be revealed until the description is formally published by the end of the year. It is closer to D. neocaledonica than D. spatulata.
