Drosera cuneifolia in South Africa

Hi,

this species is only known from the Table Mountain area. We found them in the Silvermine Nature Reserve as well as on the Table Mountain itself.

I actually had a colony of this species, started from seeds, live for 2 years.

They are so small!

What's the soil composition? Specifically, what are the shiny quartz looking particles?

xvart.

Hi,

the soil is quite sandy (the white particles are in fact sand). It looked exactly like the mixes of sand and peat we use in cultivation, although i am sure, that this is no peat. Sorry, but i can't tell more about it.
