Gemmae Season?

I was wondering why they produced stipules..
 
Here's what happens at the end of the season with the gemmae still intact - new trap leaves. Some of the oldest gemma will actually sprout still attached.

Wow.... there's a ton of them in there!
 
@NaN this is what happened to D. omissa in my care. Waited too long to collect them :) Some gemmae had two or three little leaves.
 
How many jewels were in that crown?
 
@jimscott I never counted them :)

How are the omissa gemmae that I sent doing?
I sent the gemmae from two more plants to two other members here and a left one "set" for myself to start a colony in a larger container. They were overripe, I wonder if I have waited too long.
 
So far, 4 of them have sprouted.
