regia root cutting q

decided to take a root cutting from a regia bc the root was taller than the pot i was putting it in bc I have heard they can be propagated this way; one q: do I leave any root material above the ground or no?

edit: would chances of success be better if the root is planted vertically or horizontally?

Good question Bobby, I am looking forward to the answers on this one.

cut the root into evenly sized pieces of about 1"
Lay the cuttings horizontally ON TOP of near wet LFS in a sealed clear container.
You don't want to have the cuttings under water, so just moist, not wet.
Lots of bright light, cool HL conditions, and there you have it.
