Best way to germinate Drosera Intermedia

I have been told that the seeds need to be on cold damp peat...

So if I place seed on a damp peat pot with seeds on top then place in a zip lock bag for a few weeks, like 8 then bring them out will that do the trick?

It sounds like what you are describing is stratification, which should prepare the seeds for germination. Make sure the seeds are kept humid and get light after you take them out.

First important question: what form of intermedia do you have? There are tropical forms from South America, Cuba, and southern Florida that would simply need to be sown on damp soil, and that's it. then there are the temperate forms from North America and Europe which require a 4 week minimum stratification period in cold and damp. Placing the temperate seeds on a pot and placing it in the fridge would work, or just putting them in a moist paper towel in a small bag would also work, and save fridge space.
Everything has a reason, whether big or small. Never underestimate the power of what is or is not.
There is far more to everything than meets the eye.
