D. adelae

I'm not really an experianced sundew grower. As I only have one species (D. adelae), but I just checked my largest
D. adelae and noticed that is had two huge roots coming out of the stem and reaching the soil. These roots are about an inch and a half up the stem and are about two inches long. Has anybody else experianced this before with the stem forming variety's of Drosera?

Thanks,
Mike

D. capensis does this as well, and I would think it probab ly isa fairly common feature of the caulescent (stem forming) species. I like growing D. adelae in live LFS so these roots can root into the mound of moss as it grows.
