Like most tuberous species, these prefer cool winter growing conditions and can be stubborn regarding germination in warmer temps. In all regards, be patient with this seed: I have had germination after a year wait with it! This particular species is flexible with these and other requirements, so you may or may not have success with a spring sowing. I generally sow my tuberous seed in late summer/early fall for winter growing, but I have had germination at other times as well. Hope this helps, and best of luck!
