Guess that Drosera

Any guesses as to what this is?
mystery_drosera.jpg

Its *supposed to be* a D. adelae.  But this guy doesn't have the pointy leaf like its siblings.  This is a baby plant, about an inch tall.  Do adelaes grow rounded leaves in the beginning?  Could this be a D. schizandra?

Actually it looks just like a young D. adelae. It will take on the distinctive adelae appearance when it gets older.

Cheers,

Hi Larry,

The plant in question is a Drosera adelae plantlet. Plantlets pop up from the soil next to larger D.adelaes. They resemble schizandra(roundish leaves) when young, but when they grow older they will develop the leaf-characteristics of an adult adelae(lance-shaped leaves).

D. schizandra is much rounder...

BTW, THIS IS POST #1001 FOR THE SUNDEW FORUM!

yeai ts a adelae
