Drosera ordensis "Mulligan's Lagoon" must be considered the "stuffed teddy bear" of the genus: it looks like it was made of cloth and stuffed! The dendritic silvery hairs on the petiole help the plant to acquire moisture: a precious commodity in the harsh Australian climate where this plant grows. With no rain for months during the growing season, is is essential that the plant take advantage of the frequent morning mists and fog that form in the plants habitat. Moisture condenses on these fine hairs, beads up and eventually drips down to the roots.
