It’s a trap!

Here you can see the base of a D. scorpioides plant forming a new root.

Beutiful! Simply beutiful! You must have a very good camera to be able to get pics that good! Ours has to be far away from the plant and even then is all blurry! You must have a fast conection to load those too!

It's more of the same, but here's my D. nitidula x pulchella. I love this plant. It now has 8 flower scapes of various age:

I've got so many photos that I could add here but I've run out of webspace to upload them.

Well, things got a bit dry in a couple of my pygmy pots. Here are some of the surviving D. occidentalis var. microscapa.

I was not able to get a photo of the flower open, but I was able to get a few shots before I had to leave.

Copper,

Did you find a courser grade of silica sand somewhere in our fine state(Nebraska)? I know pygmies are small anyway, but the sand grains look pretty large.

Regards,

Joe

Yes I did. I bought it from a pool supply. It is sand for a sand filter. Next year I need to change the sand in my filter. I am going to take the old sand, put it in mesh, and leave it in the weather for the spring and summer. I will then test it to see if it is usable. I do not know that it will be. There is a lot of chlorine running through it. If it does become usable I will get some to you.

BTW your package just went out. You should have it by Monday.

Here are my gemmae pics from Tamlin's generous donation. I cannot touch Copper's photos, but what the heck.

First up, D. nitidula x occidentalis "Cabarup"

And then some D. nitidula ssp. alantostigma:
