No seed from d. paradoxa

A friend from Hong kong who requests me to ask why his D.paradoxa got no seed after flowers,could someone give
us any information

Isn't this one of the plants that needs to be pollinated by another clone in order to set seed?

Yes,he has only one plant,so he will got no seed:(

I have heard that out of all the different petiolaris species, D. paradoxa is the most likely exception to the "self sterile" nature of these plants. Try pollination using a small brush the next time it flowers: in nature there are many exceptions to the "rules", and if you dont try then it is certain that there will be no results. Experiment!

That is odd, as all that was said here goes with my knowledge.
