Well, wonders never cease. Two of my D. scorpioides are about to flower!

Is it worth trying to pollinate them? I already got several gemmae, so seeds seem redundant.

Also, my D. binata (multifida extrema?) is flowering...what are the chances that I could cross the two?

Boy, I would think the chances or a binata-pygmy hybrid are nil, but who knows?
You could always donate seed to a seedbank. I was wondering though, are the two flowering plants oringinated from two gemmae from the same plant? Does that make them clones of identical genetic material?
Just curious.

I think it does, according to Peter D'Amato (pg. 148).
I usually appreciate the flowers for their beauty, in the case of pygmies. Even if you do manage to get seeds, they're right buggers to germinate, as far as my 0% germination rate goes!

Good luck and good growing!

Maybe it can be Audrey 3!

Amori,

Ever tried the smoke water thing or GA3?

Cheers,

Joe

I got some GA3 today from my university lab. Got plenty of seeds to wake up!
