    My newest D.slackii laf is tentacle free. Nothing but a shiny green wedge. Is this normal? My guess is no. [img]http://www.**********.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/new/smile_h_32.gif[/img]

    If it's one leaf, then it shouldn't be a problem, if it's a whole lotta leaves, that is bad. I guess if it keeps growing, and you put a TINY amount of fertilizer in the soil/on the leaves, then it will survive to make an interesting conversation peace.     Update: Parents convinced to allow me to keep greenhouse heated over winter. Most species will not be lost. Too lazy to update growlist.
