Hey guys.. Just wanted to see if these Sundews needed dormancy.. If so I can put them in with my VFTS (Aquarium Tank)

D. Spat.

D. Capensis
D. Brev.

Nope,no dormancy.

D.brevifolia seem to sometimes go into a dry dormancy...

D. capensis doesn't need dormancy, but my outside batch survives temps down to 18F at times during the winter.

Speaking of which, my D. binata is starting to grow... it survived temps down to the low 20's on a regular basis last winter as well. Tough little Drosera.

My D. capensis lived on a pretty cool windowsill during winter, and seemed to slow down quite a bit. Once it warmed up it started growing like crazy again. It seemed that the dormancy period helped it out quite a bit.

Isn't it true that D. Burmanni only grows for a few months of the year, produces seed, and dies? When it's dead, I guess that would be a dormancy...

D. burmannii is an annual.
