Terarrium neps.

glider14

Always a newbie
Hey,
I hate to bring this up again but what is the easiest way to grow a nepenthes(x ventrata) in a i think it is a 20 gallon tank do i just plant it in the ground and let the pitches jus lay on the ground? also are terarriums plants ok to water from above?

Mine easily grows 5+ feet a year... that's a lot of terrarium space unless you keep cutting it back.

Personally I think it would be a waste of money for a ventrata. I'd save it for a more demanding plant.

ya i thot so. somthing exotic such as a n. lowii which is my favorite lol

N. ventrata grows like crazy, like endparenthesis mentioned. They are tough plants not requiring a terrarium to grow. I grow mine as a windowsill plant.

ok thanks and one more ? how long does it take for pitchers to develop and how do i know if a pitcher is dead if it is a half inch or smaller? (ok that wasnt one ?
