neps in captivity

well ,we all grow neps with the correct temperature, humidity, medium, feed bugs and some growers partially feed them fertilizers, but often the colors isn't as vibrant as in the natural habitat. How should this be managed and corrected?

i think the key is probably pure sunlight. the problem is most growers dont live in climates that allow them to grow their Neps outdoors. i know i rarely have a week at a time of ideal Nepenthes growing weather here, let alone a whole season or year

I think Rattler hit the nail on the head. The neps I put outside durring the warm season (late spring through early fall) always look much better in regular sun. However, since I've started using the complact flourescents, my indoor plants look miles better than from the twin tube setup.
