I'm on the hunt for a Nep I saw on this forum a while back. All I can remember about it was the peristome looked like a candy cane(white with red stripes). Also the peristome was big and wide. Anyone know what Nep I'm thinking of?

A couple that immediatly come to mind are N. veitchii & N. truncata. Both have wide flaring peristomes and can have striped peristomes as well.

OK, after looking at the pics of those Neps, I have narrowed it down to either N.Burbidgeae or N. x dyeriana. Which of these Nep's can acheive a perfectly white peristome? The pic I remember blew me away because I had never saw a white peristome before.

I think Burbidgeae is the closest to white you can come.
    N. x dyeriana is more yellow if I can remember it right.
