Black Pitchers

Some pitchers on a few of my neps turned black or are turning black. My question is once they start to turn black can they come back or are they doomed and do I have to cut them off to encourage new pitchers to grow?

It's dead tissue. No turning back.

It's doubtful that cutting them or not cutting them will have any effect on the plant.

If you cut the entire leaf off it'll encourage the stem to grow woody up to that point... but as long as the leaf is green it's still serving a purpose.

If I cut them off at the leave will that same leaf send out a new pitcher in the future?

So once the pitcher goes dead the whole leaf won't do anything after that? Kinda sounds like a waste of a leaf and space.

No, the leaf is still photosynthetic. And for some reason it still produces nectar

Hey, most plants' leaves don't have pitchers at all.
