So a couple days ago I received my first nepenthes in the mail from California Carnivores - a ventricosa. It had two pitchers on it. One of them looked fully mature except for the lid being closed, while the other looked like a baby.
I was horrified to find a crack in the mature one. Here's a pic:
I was very careful in handling the thing when I got it so I doubt I cracked it in excitement.. but whatever the case, do you guys think that it will survive? and is there anything I can do to help it out? Seems like the victims would be able to escape out of there .. and it's not like human skin where it'll just patch itself up. Sigh, so sad.
