Black Spots

On one of my nepenthes i have found some black spots on one of my pitchers, wondering if anyone knew what it is.

just looks like the pitcher is dying from the top. In regards to the spots at the bottom, is it overfed? Is there something in there without enough fluid?
 
Looks like the pitcher has reached the end of it's lifespan to me, too.

Thanks alot guys. Yeah i guess that they were old but the streaking of the black was kind of wierd on the pitcher. lol I have never feed it yet, yeah pretty sad. Thanks again.
 
pitchers can last a long time depending on species, lighting, water schedule, soil, ect.. they can also die quickly. just leave the pitcher there until it turn completely brown....unles you didn't feed it...if there are no bugs in the pitcher, you can cut it off if you want.
