Come on people, lets get some pics out there!

It's entirely too quiet in here, so here are just a few random pics I took yesterday.

N. maxima "curtisii"
N-118.jpg

N. boschiana - this was my POM pitcher, now colored up nicely:

N. talengensis, finally making a pitcher after 3 months of acclimation:

And finally, I was clearing some space and found a N. ovata upper - my first true upper!

I love maxima curtisii! Great contrast between pitcher with light dark speckles and outstanding dark paristome! And killer boschiana. Reminds me of the ones Rob Cantley posted a while back on pitcher-plants.com.

Jimscott... how on earth did that thing stay out there for more than 5 seconds without shriveling and dying?

The planter was on the inside, in the bathroom window. I liked the irony of it!

it's on a window! :-)) not outside! i though the same thing!

i need to learn how to post pics-i have some good'uns!

Great pics-love the maxima!

It seems that none of my Neps have any good pitchers at the moment, sans my windowsill N. bical. Perhaps I'll take a picture of that plant once its newest pitcher opens.

Huy, great shots. I think your unknown is a 'Miranda.' Could be 'Gentle,' but it those uppers look just like the first uppers on my 'Miranda.'

Pretty lackluster 'Miranda' if it is, even in the lowest light mine has cherry red peristomes and significantly more spotting on it... I am thinking it is something else... Not sure what though

Man, that N. x Dyeriana is BEAUTIFUL! I'd do A LOT to get a cutting from a plant like that... LOL

Pyro,
I got it from a grower which said to be a maxima x ? but i can't really ID it. Just for Identifying, my plant is slightly hairy on the leaves and steam; does 'Miranda' have that characteristic?

Wmgorum,

I got the plant last year and it took half a year for it to accustom to my condition and it is currently in blooming now. I was thinking of cutting in about a year so i will post here if i ever do cut it.

Pyro, you may be right - I'd need to see a lower to be sure. My uppers have lost a lot of color. The "true" uppers have lost almost all of their coloration, while the lowers maintain their vivid reds. It's really a pretty cool contrast on one plant!

Curtesii looks very similar to this Marbled Dragon.

Hey Jeff,

Well if it is maxima x ? it could be anything. 'Miranda' does not have hairy leaves/stem though so I think it is safe to say it isn't 'Miranda'. It is still a nice (and nicely grown) plant :)

Great pics Pyro...as usual. Your photographic skills are always quite good. I especially LOVE your lowland N. veitchii. It looks remarkably like the hybrid N.(veitchii x lowii). Hats off to ABG for the fantastic N. truncata.

I agree, Max. It's too quiet in here. I finally was able to borrow the camera from my office and took a few pictures.
