Moving accident. Crap.

Corn is no place for a mighty warrior
I was moving my setup around when a desk lamp fell on my N. ventricosa. Poor thing.

I'm lucky that there is a basal coming in..cause the main stem got broken almost all the way through.

It does have another basal though, so it'll be fine. Still, it's a shame.

Here's the break...it's in the middle of the frame.

But, here's the basal!

Can I possibly root this severed stem?

Thanks!

Absolutely! It's not a problem at all. Cut off the bits of dead petiole and make four vertical slits.

I would make that main stem a cutting! It will be fine.

Looks like your on your way to having two plants. At least you didn't drop a flowering splendiana from the plant bars in your GH onto the floor breaking the vine in two places and the plant aborting the flower. Now I have three plants (one just traded) and still don't know if it is a male of a female. Lucky I had two basils well on their way already making pitchers to fall back on.

Yeah now you oculd end up with 2 nice plants

Thanks for the snappy (pun intended) responses, guys.
