N. Sanguinea update(good reason to buy from Andy)

the plant arrived back in the middle of december, with one small 2" pitcher that finally died D:
but here it is now...not failing to pitcher once since it arrived, only the broken leaf it arrived with, sanguinea or not...imo, its pretty amazing :3

You gotta love N. sanguinea. It's so tolerant of many conditions and holds the most pitchers the longest for me. And despite being so common, it does have good looking pitchers, in my opinion.

Here's my N. sanguinea (mind you there are two main plants in this picture). I rarely cut off dead pitchers because they rarely die.

yeah its a pretty amazing plant, i hope mine vines soon ._. lol

I got this plant from walgreens when I first started growing carnivrous plants, I re potted it after several months and it took a dive, it has fully recovered and is growing great now and is about the size of a plant you would receive from Andy. The pitcher developing in the third photo is the larger pitcher to the right in the second picture. And it's starting to color up more.
The last picture is when I first got it.

I'm waiting for that one guy to post photos of his sanguinea, the one that is like in a hanging basket near his sink.

yeah i know which picture your talking about...seen it many times lol.

If it's the picture I'm thinking of it's a N. ventrata. I'm trying to find it but my powers of search are failing me at the moment.

Might as well throw my Sang from Andy up here too. It's doing very well. A bit drippy actually :p

I've had some N. sanguinea produce pitchers almost 16 inches in length! Some do have pretty big pitchers! - Rich

I guess this is another thread talking about Andy's Sanguinea huh?

I got mine from him around April 7th or so and it arrived with it's growth tip broken off a week later I noctices a leaf comming from the broken area it also had two pitchers one formed and ones lid was opening some.

Today it's new leaf is 2 inches and another leaf with a tendril is developing I must say N.Sanguinea is a tough plant and very colorful so far I feed the pitcher 4 spiders 3 flys and it has caught 2 flys on it's own.

I have before and after pictures to show, but sadly I have slow internet and it takes forever to load just one picture so I'll have to show you all them sometime.. =\

Very nice! The one I got from Andy about a month ago came with one pitcher and has already produced or is producing 3 more.
