N. spectabilis x ventricosa

Crissytal

What is and what should never be
I had an interesting discovery today. My N. spectabilis x ventricosa from the NASC auction is blooming (thanks Av!). This will be my first flower. As you can see, the plant itself is huge. I was getting ready to chop it up (space issues) when I discovered I had a pest issue. I don't believe that plant was infected, but I treated it anyway to be sure. I guess something good did come out of it; it postponed me cutting it. Is it too soon to tell if it's male or female?

The plant starts in the blue pot.

Thanks Av!

I was worried about the pretty drastic change in temperature from your conditions to mine. Apparently it doesn't care.
