    N. ampullaria upper pitcher

    I thought I'd share this picture a little more widely than I usually do as understand these do not occur very often.

    I was a bit disappointed about the size. A rather minuscule 1" or so. The plant is a N. ampullaria from Wistuba (Tayeve form) and has been under some stress for about three months or so as it adjusts to a new enclosure. The plant is ~6-8 years of age.

    It looks like ampullaria uppers are indeed uncommon to say the least, and do not get very big at all!

    Thanks for the information. Very interesting reading indeed! I have not been able to find any pictures of these in cultivation....Surely this is not the first instance?
