such a young plant and quite an amazing one at that :)

where did you get it?

i bought it from a friend of mine who owns a nursery here in WA.
bought it as a typical highland truncata, and it was from the chance batch....so i was REALLY lucky :)

ill post a pic of mine(from max) once it colors up.

Here's mine, we must have the same clone. Mine actually looks a bit darker then the photo presents, its a bit washed out from the grow lamps.

nice color there Davy :) looks a bit more red though...mine is a brownish/purple x_X

Here's my truncata. It's become one of my favorite plants. I'm really happy with the color it's shown.

thats pretty nice there Neps :) how big is that pitcher?
currently my pitcher is 4 3/4" long from base to tip of lid. the plant is about 4" in diameter.

It's probably about a six inch pitcher on a five inch leaf. The pitcher to leaf ratio used to be a lot higher but it's diminished since the plant hit it's growth spurt. The leaves started shooting up dramatically in size but the pitchers didn't quite keep up. It might also have to do with my fert regimen. I've heard the pitchers can get smaller the more you fertilize.

i thought i would just revive my old thread rather than starting a new one...
when this plant was shaded outside in the greenhouse, the pitchers barely turned a rustic orange, see the previous ones...
but back under strong lighting, in this case a couple of CFLs about 8" from the plant....you get this.
i have a feeling the next leaf is going to pull something similar to DVG's "flight of the quantum butterfly"
