Variegation? red/green

Just wondering if variegation is possible with red/green in nepenthes as opposed to green/white...
im noticing the same markings you would see in variegation, but rather green and red on my ventricosa x angasanensis...the entire plant gets the same amount of light, and regardless of what light levels i have it in, always has this coloration to the leaves...and it is very clearly not a sick plant....So here are a few photos of the plant, including one of the leaves for a better idea of what im talking about....

I LOVE that plant, Kris. I've seen it in your other threads and it is love. Yes.

well those who love it are in luck since i should be taking cuttings from it within the next few months, and it has also shot up a basal and i will be letting that grow out too, and i have no doubts that within a year that will be able to have cuttings taken...
i received it as an unrooted cutting at the end of '08 from Capslock, and it has become my most vigorous, and strong growing nepenthes in my collection...its a weed, and i love it....
this is it when i first received it

I don't think variegation is the term that applies in this case. If I wanted to sound science-y, I'd say "mottled pigmentation."

Joe - i have never heard of that condition in plants haha...in people yeah but, other than ill, heat or pest inflicted plants, i have never heard that term used....and i can definitely say neither is the case on this plant...ive done thorough checks...

Any form of variegation is almost always a very stark contrast between (generally) white or yellow and green. There are a few red variegations out there on Bromiliads and Banana plants but these also are very starkly contrasting not a speckled fade.

Not saying it isn't possible or even on it's way to becoming truly red variegated but the pics of the few variegated Neps I've seen were of the standard yellow/white colored variegation with a stark contrast against the green.

Here's a vareigated truncata:

Some plants do stay pigmented and never "acclimate" or turn over to all green. I like seeing them well colored up like that.

I've seen that on one of my plants. It even goes through to the underside of the leaf (does yours?).

Those pics are a year old. I'll have to take a closer look at this plant to see if it is still doing it.
