When I first built my shade house I thought that I would never run out of space or have plants that were too big.
But then I bought a few plants– ok, more than a few…
And others grew taller and taller…
Everybody was getting a bit cramped!
What to do?
My wife and daughter suggested that I sell or give them away…
I traded a few, but was still running out of room and several were getting too tall.
Again, what to do?
I thought about trimming them back and making cuttings. But most of them hadn’t flowered yet and cuttings mean s even more plants.
What to do?
I took a look around and found a bit of space that was being underutilized…
It took some moving and cleaning
And a little shade cloth…
But I think it turned out pretty well

Even the displaced cacti , bromeliads, and succulents seem to be happy in their new home at the end of the drive way next to the original shade house.
