    Seed grown N.hamata ? I think not !

I bought this as a "seed grown 07" Nepenthes hamata. B.S. !! If this a seed grown plant, I apparently need to learn a little more about the root systems and growing habits of Nepenthes ! I never would have bought it for what I paid knowing it was a cutting ! Give me some educated opinions here before I spazz on this guy.

Here you can clearly see this is the cut end of a tendril.

Here's the north end of the same cutting !

These next 2 pics show what looks to me like new growth sprouting from a cutting, tell me I'm wrong.

I really hope I'm wrong here.

The original plant might have been a seedgrown plant, and not a BE/AW clone? Maybe the original growth tip died on it and it sprouted from the side of the vine to regrow?

It's a cutting......but it could be a cutting of one of the larger seedgrowns.
Some days it just isn't worth chewing thru the restraints.

If you didn't pay an extravagant amount for it, then I'd say it's still an alright deal. Question the seller as well.

It looks large and fairly healthy, so I wouldn't be too mad as long as you weren't ripped off money-wise. Then it's time to get mad.

Well...it's possible the main growth died and it resprouted.....so it may not be a cutting....hard to say....

I paid about $100.00 more than I would pay for a cutting of that size ! I honestly would never have even bought it if were advertised as a cutting.
