Oh wow!
You have such outstanding specimens!!!
Sincerely, beautiful pictures of an amazing collection :)

Can't believe I missed this thread until now... Keith, I actually started laughing when I saw the extent of your collection on page 10. If I drove by, I would probably walk into your home, mistaking it for a nursery. You have one incredible plant collection.

Oh man such gorgeous stuff...

And who is your daddy? Seriously that guy is handsome! :-))

  • #167
Gorgeous as usual Keith. LOVING the eymae x veitchii upper!!

  • #168
Thanks for all you kind words!

Mass - I love the eymae x veitchii too. In fact, that is the pitcher that prompted me to go in the house and get the camera....

Dexenthes - I have recently tried to trade off most of my UI plants; however, 'Who's your Daddy' just has too much potential to let go... Daddy is probably maxima, or x rokko, or spec x veichii; but whoever he was it is a nice looking kid. In fact, I have liked most everything I have seen crossed with x splendiana.

Mato - My wife shares your belief that our house could be a nursery; however, she is not very happy with the idea. Then I point out that I could spend my time / money doing several other things and then she usually admits that this hobby isn't so bad after all.....

Omg Keith. Fantastic!

Beautiful plants, gorgeous photos, as always Keith!

I also have a plant of tobiaca X spectabilis, and I'm liking it a LOT. I find I am very attracted to the tall, slim pitchers with a clearly defined waistline. Such elegant design.

Spectacular as usual! I love all those spotty hybrids you've got growing including all the bromeliads.

  • #172
Gorgeous pic update as always!

  • #173
Thanks again; it really means a lot from this group of power growers!

We have had a couple weeks of downpours and heavy winds. The winds kept catching my taller plants behind the garage and playing dominos with them. Not a game I like to play with my plants…. So bamboo and zip-ties became my friend…..
First the clean up and haircuts…
DSC08581.jpg

All tied together with bamboo and zip ties… Had 40+ MPH winds and no toppled plants 

I was also able to get a couple of nice pictures in between rains this weekend…

You've done a nice job of tying your plants up or down there Keith. ;)

And i agree, your N. truncata x ephippiata definitely makes a gorgeous looking pitcher.

Looks like the winds gave you a reason to do some cleaning, it looks real nice!

Also, I am glad to see another person growing N. ventricosa x glandulifera. So far yours makes the third specimen I have seen including my own! Definitely post some pics when it opens. :)
