All,

Thanks for your kind words! I will try to do a better job of keeping this thread up-to-date. I really enjoy looking at everyone else's plants, so I am glad to see that other seem to be enjoying mine.

Long time no post…. I spent two weeks on the east coast on a business trip and then visited with my folks in southern Indiana for three weeks. Of course, when I got back to work things were a bit backed up…. I am finally starting to get caught up.
Here are a couple of picture I took a while back, but haven’t had time to post… I hope to get some recent pictures later in the weekend.

  • #193
how long have you been collecting those bromeliads?

  • #194
Wow ventricosa x fusca is a surprise stunner to me .

What's N.xCantleyi? It's pretty!

  • #195
Very nice Keith! Are those bromeliads on the street corner? Any passer by try to pick them up yet? hehe

I love the dark colors on your Song of Melancholy and N. Peter D! I'll have to see what I have growing that you would be interested in when you get a spare piece of it ;)

  • #196
Whew, that took a while. Great plants, Keith. Hopefully we'll see your pics more often.

Thanks for all your kind comments!

mylesG - I have only been collection bromeliads seriously for about a year. Ebay is a very bad thing....

thez_yo - I was also very surprised by the ventricosa x fusca, it is really coming into its own. I actually have a couple for trade if you are interested. As for N.xCantleyi, it is gracilis x bicalcarata. I have had this plant of a couple of years, but this is definately its best pitcher to date.... I love the colors.

Yann - Yes, the bromeliads are beside my garage along the road leading into our little nine-house cul-de-sac. So far no one has bothered them, although my wife keeps warning me that someone is going to steal them all. They better be careful if they do because they bite... As for the Song of Melancholy and PDA, I will be sure to keep you in mind when they start vining or put out basals. However, currently they are both fairly small plants...

Mato - Busy, busy, busy; I will try to update more often, but no promises. :-(

I don’t know how this guy was hiding, but I found him while I was gathering up plants for my trade list. I really like the graduation of color from top to bottom....
