Nice plants - what camera are you using? And um.. some of the photos are that gracilis when they should be something else...

The photos are a bit dark. I didn't bother editing them to brighten em up.
I noticed. I went ahead and fixed it. You should be able to see the red leopard now.
To answer your question. I'm using a Pentax IST DS, with a bayonet to screw mount adapter and an old film lenses with an aperture of 1.4 - 16.
I was also using macro extension tubes.

Awesome..I can't wait till my Purple gracilis seedlings get that big...such a simple but pretty nep.

Oh very ncie pictures and plants.

Do you mean N. sp. 1?

I love the gracillis, quite the underrated nep.

I picked the begonias up about 3 years ago at the local Saturday market.
I think they were ten bucks each. I got two of them.

That particular begonia is called "Lalome"

Right now I'm really busy with installing a carport, dealing with the loss of a family member, and going camping next week. But perhaps when things calm down I could send you two some leaves to root.. In my experience the plants are very hardy and turn that amazing color even in low light. I grow them in what used to be an old garage. In the winter the day temp a lot of the time does not break 60 and they don't seem to mind.
They're like capensis in my experiences. Super easy to grow, I don't give them any special care whatsoever.

I recently rooted an angel wing begonia. All I did was dip in in rooting hormone, stick in in a jar of water, and sealed it completely with a bag. It has a nice root system and it's been only a few months.

Where's your hamata?

I like how you got the background to be all white. What did you use?

Its funny how I can tell where you get some of your plants by the pots.

Some of the plants I got from them, some I just have in pots like theirs.

I didn't take pictures of my hamata because it made smaller pitchers this year than the year before. I think it's because it only got two flies or so in the four years I've had it.
I've started feeding each pitcher and they're slowly gaining size again, but still it's not photo ready yet.

The white background. I just used a piece of mat board.
