Sources for research paper on Nepenthes?

I'm going to make this quick as I only have a few minutes left in class.

I am doing a research paper on Nepenthes. It is simply a definition paper so I do not believe I have to go far in depth although I would like to mention how they trap their prey etc.

Does anyone have any resources that are good for citing.
There is a page detailing the history of Nepenthes on one CP vendors website, does anyone have the source of where he got that information, I do not want t Cite a retail site but rather an article or a digitalized publication of Linnaeus' work.

I already know that Nepenthes were named by Linnaeus after an ancient drug described in Homer's "The Oddysey".
If anyone had any other really good academic sources I could cite I would appreciate it.
Much of what I know of Nepenthes I feel is general knowledge within the community of more experienced growers, but I am required to cite information.

McPherson's Pitcher Plants of the Old world (volume 1) is a good source.
