your new inermis x bongso pitchher looks so nice!
My new arrival is halfway through inflating its first pitcher in my care. Reallly hope I get such a nice color before darkening.
Travis, here is the full pitcher, showing the lid. You think that's wavy? All veitchii hybrids look like this, to some degree!
Nice color! I'll have to look around for a plant of this type.
that thing is massive. Guess your's looks a lot redder.. It's awesome whatever it is.
This is what I meant by over-exaggerated and wavy..
And yes, that pitcher is HUGE....and I am certain the next ones will be even larger!
Would it be interesting to create a thread dedicated to different 'Song of Melancholy' plants? Compare, contrast, debate (maybe not) etc. Besides everyone loves pictures anyway hah
I know that thread exists somewhere, can't remember if it's here or on another pitcher plant forum, but there is a thread dedicated to the SoM's.
I really like your belirang! I usually prefer the tujuh's, but that one is beautifull

Amazing quantity & quality of Neps in there Paul!!
Do you have any N. inermis? If so, how long have they held their pitchers? I find my plant to have the shortest pitcher duration of any species I grow (not that I have all that many!). It looks like it's starting to vine, maybe the uppers will last a bit longer ...I have pitchers on some plants that are approaching a full year old and are only starting to look a bit dull and aged. In fact, I think my N. ventricosa has a couple of the original pitchers still on it, and those are now a full year old, at least. Of course, some species I find have short-lived pitchers as a matter of course, N. jacquelinae for one.
