N. leonardoi

How wide spread is this one in cultivation? i've seen a few pics in cpphotofinder, is it an easy grower?

Mine has proven to be fairly easy. Seems to be more of an intermediate grower.

It's an easy grower for me too. I grow mine in highland conditions.

I wonder if these clones in cultivation will actually resemble the all black plants that we have come to find so iconic of this species. From what I understand N. leonardoi is not necessarily always so dark and the darkness/blackness that we are familiar with is actually just a few specifically very dark clones.

According to Stewart McPherson, the bugle-like uppers can range from pure red, burgundy, to almost black. The black ones are more rare. I'm curious which color upper will the AW clone have.

Mine has slowed down quite a bit since the onset of the cold weather. It seemed to do best in the HL/INT temp range and is not enjoying the current UHL temps as much.
