good looking plants. That original is starting to fill out nicely.

  • #46
Yeah, slowly though haha.. 3 leaves and 2 pitchers in 6 months @_@ you definitely have to have patience with this plant.

  • #47
So worth the wait though..

I love how nice the leaves look, they are so waxy and green!

brinker- thanks man, I love the look of the leaves myself actually, it is a great hybrid for sure. I hope my lowii x truncata wide peristome looks as good as the original cross when it matures. Time will tell I guess haha.

Fantastic plant Kris. It will be interesting to see if the newer crosses make the same oval mouth in the uppers.

Heli I dont see why they wouldn't, many of the new remakes look much like the originals did at that size, I know others have larger ones than my remake, so hopefully we won't have to wait too long to find out.
I don't think I have seen too many lowii primary hybrids that did not exhibit the characteristic lowii shape in the traps, I think the only exceptions I have seen thus far are lowii x spectabilis and lowii x boschiana... *shrug* and now with this group of lowii x ephippiata seedlings I have seen, I am curious how those will look... Larger pitchers than standard lowii, with domed lids instead of just vaulted? Should be interesting to say the least, but nothing too bizarre I imagine. But still interesting none the less....

It's awesome, Kris. And very large too! :) Hope mine shapes up like that.
